Membership Criteria

To join as a Certified Member, you will need to provide:

  • Proof of your counselling or psychotherapy qualification
  • Evidence of insurance (where applicable)
  • Agreement to uphold the NACP Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards
  • Commitment to complete a minimum of 30 hours of CPD per year
  • Commitment to a minimum of 2 hours of supervision per calendar month

Student and Associate Members must provide relevant proof of enrolment or professional background.

Supervision for Members


As an NACP member, you benefit from access to 1:1 supervision at the reduced rate of £40 per session (non-members: £50). Supervision sessions are delivered virtually by qualified supervisors to help you meet your CPD requirements, reflect on practice, and stay supported.
